"The hospital was so busy but you were truly amazing"

(as a service user),

Last week my baby boy was delivered by elective c-section. I had wonderful care in the recovery area from Nurse Kirsty, Fergal and Stephen the anaesthetist team and all surgery staff. I loved getting the skin to skin straight away.

Unfortunately that night about 11pm I had a bleed and lost 2.5 litres of blood. The team were so quick to act and before I knew it there was a team of about 10 staff working on me to stop the bleeding.

I really need to highlight Scott the auxiliary for all he did for my baby boy - he fed him, had to deal with the first nappies, he reassured me and kept me chatting and cheery, he is an asset to your team. Also Laura who was with me all night looking after me and Jenn the doctor. 

I cannot praise you enough. The hospital was so busy but you were truly amazing.

I’m now home with my baby boy and loving having him. His big sister is besotted!
