"Treatment for prostate cancer"

About: Oncology / Physical Activity Classes

(as a service user),

I was diagnosed with prostate cancer February 2021, the result of an annual PSA test. It came out of the blue , as I had no indication that anything was wrong. I had no symptoms so it was a complete surprise. After speaking with my consultant l decided to go with surgery to have the prostate removed. This was carried out down in Dublin at the end of April. 4 weeks later I had a heart attack which resulted with having a stent being fitted. Since then I have been well and the 2 blood tests carried out have been good. I have been taking part in fitness classes online, through Friends of cancer which have been excellent and which I would recommend.
