"Eating disorder assessment"

About: Adult Mental Health Services / TESS (Eating Disorder Team)

(as a service user),

I attended the eating disorder clinic for an initial assessment, naturally feeling very apprehensive.. The receptionist was welcoming and friendly. Megan’, the assigned nurse was exceptional. Her friendly, non judgemental approach  and  excellent

communication skills made me feel at ease. I have attended many health appointments, however,  Megan’s  caring and friendly manner stood out.  The occupational therapist offered me reassurance and also made me feel comfortable throughout the assessment. Thank you for making a difficult first step to getting help go as well as it could have.

Dear Wintt81

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us about your experience of the Eating Disorder Team.

I am so pleased to hear that you found the staff to be welcoming and friendly. I can understand that this first clinic would have been a daunting experience and that you were feeling nervous. I am glad to hear how Megan's approach, friendly manner and communications skills helped you to feel at ease. I am also glad to hear that the Occupational Therapist was reassuring and made you feel comfortable during your appointment.

I wish you well on your recovery journey.

thank you
