"My excellent chemo treatment"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Cancer Services (Medical Oncology)

(as a service user),

I was an out patient in Ward 310 Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, receiving chemotherapy over the last six months.

The nurses are so hard working but are always able to find time to reassure and help where needed. 

During lockdown, none of my appointments were cancelled and, as a result, my treatment plan went smoothly. I am so grateful for the excellent treatment I received.

thank you for taking the time to post your positive comments on care opinion. I was really heartened to read that the nursing staff provided such person centred care and made you feel so safe and secure.

I am extremely fortunate to work with this dedicated team and very proud of the the care they provide. Receiving comments such as these are such a morale boost for staff and I will share the comments with the staff concerned.

I do hope you health is improving following your treatment and thanks again for the very positive feedback - it really is appreciated

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. I am so glad to read you had no disruptions during your treatment, while in such challenging times is such a worry for patients, families and staff.

It is really encouraging to be able to share with the team your feedback that the nursing team were able to make a difference and despite the high activity of the unit you felt reassured.
