"Great practice"

About: Poole Hospital

Attended TIA clinic yesterday with my husband who had a suspected TIA but thankfully that was not the case. The nurse who took his vital signs was lovely and treated him with care and respect. She made him feel more relaxed which in the circumstances was a bonus. The consultant (sorry cannot remember his name) was professional and treated my husband as a person not just a name on a piece of paper whilst explaining the situation to us. I would like to thank all the staff for what they all do for us in very difficult circumstances. A great big thank you we couldn’t do without you so well done.

Dear Maurice

Thank you so much for sharing your experience as we are always pleased to hear when patients and relatives feel the staff looking after them are respectful, professional and able to put you at ease during these stressful times. It is important for staff to be able to calm a patient, especially when stress can be a factor of an ailment, so it is good to know both the nurse and the consultant were able to do this.

We will be please to pass on your kind comments to the department and know they will be pleased to receive them.

Regards

Patient Experience Team
