I just wanted to thank Pembroke Surgery and the TIA clinic for their absolutely amazing joined up service for my husband yesterday ending the worst 48 hours ever. I rang the GP at 8am (gave the receptionist a bit of a hard time – sorry), doctor rang 10 minutes later, by 8.40 my husband was seeing the nurse practitioner. By 10am he had been contacted by the TIA clinic and had an appointment at 1.30pm. By 4pm he had undertaken all the tests and seen the consultant. We left the hospital with the wonderful news that he is going to be okay. I am a medical secretary at Torbay Hospital and know what pressures we are all under and to have service like that at this time is beyond amazing. Thank you all so much.
