About: Specialist Nursing Services / Community Matrons, Rushcliffe

(as a relative),

I am the carer for my husband. He had a stroke three years ago. He has great difficulty walking and standing so needs 24 hour care. 

Fortunately the doctor recommended a community matron to assist with my Husband's care.

I can not describe to you how much help having Cathrine to assist with my Husband care has been to us. He also has skin cancer problems which keep recurring, Cathrine has arranged unscheduled hospital visits to help sort out the problem. Also arranged by negotiation with the doctor for a specialised doctor to visit in our home.

She checks up on my Husband health every month and then if needed takes the appropriate action.

Without her help and guidance I would really struggle at times. I can not emphasise enough how valuable her assistance has been to my husband and I.
