"Great experience despite staff shortages"

About: St Thomas' Hospital (London)

This was my second time giving birth at St Thomas'. The amazing staff made everything from antenatal care to delivery and postnatal care a positive experience. Waiting times could be rather long, due to the midwives teams being extremely short-staffed but everyone from receptionists to midwives and doctors kept making sure all mums are ok and constantly apologised for keeping us waiting (although it was not their fault). I was able to give birth in the Home from Home area, which was an incredible experience. I felt looked after, informed and on good hands at all times. I would highly recommend the maternity services of St. Thomas' Hospital to everyone, and would gladly return. I just hope the midwives get the recognition they deserve, in these trying times they are true heroes.
