"My hospital stay"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Neurosurgery (Ward 64 – 66)

(as a service user),

I returned home  after over two weeks in the Neurological Sciences Department of the QEUH. The surgical team led by Mr Mathieson was lifesaving for me and no words can express my thanks.

The care received after my operation has been tremendously supportive and it gave me the confidence to literally get back on my feet. This supportive confidence pervaded the entire team and I thank each member individually.

I said Emily and Emma were my favourites, but every ward team was great.

Everyone was treated with the utmost care and respect in Ward 64.

Thank you.

Dear virgohz99,

I would like to thank you for taking the time to post about your care under The Department of Neurosurgery in Glasgow. I am pleased to hear you have had such a positive experience and that you are recovering well post surgery.

The Department of Neurosurgery is made up of multidisciplinary teams who work hard together and strive for safe patient centred care. I will pass on your high praise to Mr Mathieson and his team, as well as our theatre team and Senior Charge Nurse Morrison and her team in Ward 64. With special mention to Emily and Emma!
