"Securing PrEP"

About: St Andrews Community Hospital / Family Planning/Sexual Health

(as a service user),

I ran out of PrEP and was originally told that I would not be able to meet with the consultant for 2 months. However, both my nurse and health advisor were advocates to expedite my service. They went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I was covered. I was truly overwhelmed by how generous and persistent they were to ensure my peace of mind. Beyond grateful for the experience.

Dear Mark23, thank you for taking the time to share your experience of the Sexual Health service. I am sorry to hear that there was a waiting time for you to see our Consultant. It is a priority for us to provide a patient-centred approach to care which includes appropriate and timely access to treatments therefore I am delighted to hear that our nurse and Health Adviser were able to help and offer you peace of mind. I will share your feedback with the team.

Best wishes,

Kirsty Durham, Sexual Health Senior Charge Nurse
