"Excellent care in all settings"

I have recently attended Gynaecology for consultant appointments, outpatient procedure and then hysterectomy. I have been truly impressed by the excellence of care at Preston. I've sadly had to have a number of procedures and treatments in different hospitals over the years, both private and NHS, and this was hands-down my best experience of medical care anywhere. My experience of attending for quite a major procedure was seamless: the team really know what they are doing and definitely put the patient front and centre in all they do. It's a joined-up experience where everyone is proactive and nothing is forgotten or too much trouble. They know we're nervous and go all-out to minimise fear and discomfort. This can-do vibe made me feel confident, both in what was happening and that I would be able to cope well after discharge. Even the post-op care is well-thought-out, with excellent telephone support.
