It was a hard day, physically and emotionally. I needed a cone biopsy of my cervix and cue to other issues in my abdomen the pain was horrific, I knew it would be but also knew how important it was to do it as soon as possible; I didn’t want the delay of waiting for a theatre date to do it under anaesthetic.
The nurse and doctor couldn’t have carried me through it more gracefully. We all knew how important it was so we got through the pain together. It was one of the many times that gynaecology at New Stobhill Hospital has amazed me. I always feel like I’m part of a team and we’re all invested in me getting the best care and outcomes I can. It’s a great department and if the many staff I’ve met over the years everyone has been so kind, compassionate and human. This along with the excellence of care provided can’t be praised enough.
