About: Halbutt Street Surgery

Very hard to convince the importance of signing repeat prescription. Took 4 days for GP to sign off prescription for a most vulnerable patient in their list.

Customer care doesn’t exist

Thank you for your comment.

I am sorry you experienced a problem using one of our services

NHS England guidance is 48 hours to issue prescriptions, unless there is a query on the prescription in which case it may take longer.

We therefore have a policy which states patients can request prescriptions 7 – 10 days before the medications run out. This would allow for any queries to be resolved by the GP.

As I do not know the name of the patient I am not able to comment directly about the process of this particular request but please accept our apologies for any anxiety this caused to the patient.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss this issue further

Kind Regards

Practice Manager
