"Incredible and professional care"

About: Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73) / Labour suite The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73)

(as the patient),

We received incredible and professional care at PRM, at every point of care.

Maternity assessment, the labour ward and ward 68 were absolutely exceptional. Their care made an uncertain and anxious time into a really positive experience.

Rachael and student midwife Skye in the labour ward I felt went above and beyond for us, and made sure that we were well informed and comfortable. We didn’t have an expectation about what the experience would be like as we are first time parents, but I hope that everyone gets to experience such good care when they have their babies! The senior midwifery staff, medics and theatre team were also wonderful, and all made a potential traumatic experience just part of our story!

Miya and the staff in ward 68 took great care of us too, and the night staff were very supportive when I felt like the world was upside down with a new screaming baby. While I was happy to go home, it was the best environment to be in for support and a lot of TLC, despite the staff being so busy.

We are eternally grateful for the care received- it’s easy to have a moan but we genuinely don’t have a bad word to say about anything!

Dear iberatorcm57,

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! Thank-you for taking the time to post such lovely feedback regarding your care within Princess Royal especially through what I know must be such a busy time for you caring for a new baby.

I will share your feedback with all the staff in Labour Ward and Ward 68 specifically Rachael and Skye and I know it will mean so much to them to learn that their care made such an impact on your experience. It can be stressful at the beginning learning to care for a new baby for the first time and I am delighted that the staff within Ward 68 gave you all the support you needed throughout your stay.

I hope that you are enjoying this special time together as a new family, specifically now on the lead up to Christmas. Thank-you again for you lovely feedback its very much appreciated by myself and the staff,

Kind regards,

Vicki Mazzoni

Lead Midwife,

Princess Royal Maternity
