About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Medical/Gastroenterology (Ward 11)

(as a service user),

Underwent colonoscopy this afternoon. Was apprehensive on this occasion, although have had this procedure a few times at other hospitals.

From the the point of arrival to leaving, every person I with whom I had contact was polite, professional and supportive. The Staff Nurse who documented and consented me, the Nurse who got me tea and biccy in recovery but particular mention  to Bernadette the Endoscopist and her Trainee assistant, who explained every aspect of the proceedure being undertaken,

Dear J.K.F

Thanks for taking the time to recognise the professionalism of my colleagues. Our staff recognise that people are often anxious when attending for a procedure and they work really hard to provide clear information and help allay any fears or anxieties people may have.

It will be my pleasure to share your positive feedback and kind words with all the staff, it will be well received and mean a lot to them.

Best wishes.

Lesley
