About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Cardiology Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiothoracic Surgery

(as a service user),

Went in to ERI for AVR and Aorta graft. Operation went well and was allowed home one week later. Only for next day started to run a temperature and was admitted to Forth Valley Hospital, where I spent 13 days fighting off the infection with antibiotics. Cannot thank Dr. Hargreaves and his team enough, along with the nursing staff for the care and attention I received during my stay.

Thanks for getting in touch. I am delighted to hear that things went well with your surgery in Edinburgh but sorry to learn that you had problems with a fever afterwards. I hope you are feeling much better now. I'm pleased (but not surprised!) that you were well looked after here in Forth Valley by Dr Hargreaves and the Cardiology team and I will make sure I pass on your thanks to everyone concerned.
