"Booking for an appointment for medicine review"

I waited to speak to the receptionist for 40minutes (number 5 in the que at 9am) when I finally spoke to her I was told to call back tomorrow at 8am to book an appointment with the doctor to review my medication, I asked if she can book me

today as what was the point of

me staying on the que today and then calling again tomorrow, apparently they are fully booked and can only book people on the day. I asked if i can just be booked to speak to the GP even not relating to the medications, and she told me theres no space and that all I can do is call again tomorrow, wait for that long then have to call again tomorrow.
