"Recovering from alcoholism"

After many years of drinking, I have tried to address my addiction.  I have tried previously but with only temporary results.  I have been very well supported this time by a program which looks to deal with the underlying issues and has helped me to address those.  

My councillor Nicky is much much better than I expected. She listens carefully and patiently to my concerns. She is very astute and able to make sense of much of what I say. She has been effective in challenging me to think about my reasons for drinking while at the same time being very supportive and not judgmental.  I trust her and I trust that she has my best interests at heart.  I feel confident that by staying with the program, that the outcome will be positive.
