Good - Online Consultation brilliant option works well for straight forward requests.

Mediocre / poor Online Consultation - the actual form drives me potty. You need resilience and stamina to get to the end and I nearly end up shouting at the form in frustration ! It is positively painful.

Poor: Beacon Medical needs to look at other practices that have started to work with schools when it comes to anxiety, school absences, school "refusal". I know that this is not in the Gaps contract but other practices have reported huge benefits to the practice for example in reducing requests from parents for "sick notes" etc. We need a connected holistic approach to a rapidly growing issue. Agencies should be working together including GPs to support very vulnerable students and their families.

I can advise you that eConsult was designed by GP’s for GP’s and based on the information that you provide will take the patient to certain pathways. These pathways will ask questions which may appear repetitive; however I can advise that these are designed to protect the patient and flag any serious symptoms which will then refer the patient to appropriate services such as 111 or 999.

We regularly receive feedback from eConsult and welcome our patients to provide it to them. eConsult is constantly evolving and their vision for the product is shaped by conversations and members of the primary care community.
