"Lack of care for patient"

About: The Royal London Hospital / General surgery

(as a carer),

My partner is a critically ill patient.  The majority of the nurses don’t show enough care and are not following the correct antibiotic slots, giving a late dose of antibiotic and then early for the 2nd dose.  The head nurse on duty was taking nurses aside and blaming my partner.

For 2 weeks in a row I have complained about it and nothing has happened. Also the doctor is taking forever to do the procedure & chemo is on hold because of their current condition.  No-one seems to be bothered about it.  At the weekends the nurses are chatting & singing and dancing with music while my partner was trying to fall asleep.   I an absolutely disgusted with the service on ward  13D.   I’m fed up of complaining and no one taken any action .

Update posted by Israt (a carer)

Hi

I have done so, Dr came back with a reply now after telling my husband IR needs to be done from Friday, the outcome after all this is zero. IR team refusing to do the procedure - now the reason is it’s not safe for him? Why they have been telling all this time it needs to be done? According to them my husband is actively dying and in my opinion the NHS is responsible for this. They take forever, have miscommunication all the time, always show an excuse of covid. NHS has successfully broken my family. I have a very small family of 3, now my husband who’s the most loved person, I have to watch him going? Only they will realise when it will happen to them. They upset my sick husband more. Pals never helped us before only St Barts are very helpful - they pass directly on to the consultant when I asked in past. In my opinion, RLH has always been rubbish.

thanks
