"Cancelled MRI Scan"

About: Tameside General Hospital / X-ray and Scans

(as a service user),

I was on my way to Ashton under Lyne from Glossop at 8.20 a.m. to have a MRI scan. Halfway there I was informed that due to people not getting to work, I could not have a scan.

I had to turn around and make my way home (in the rush hour) Not pleased with the service, will not be having a scan in the future.

I was very sorry to read about your cancelled MRI scan as I understand how frustrating this must have been for you. Whilst the Hospital does try to avoid cancellations, particularly on the day of a procedure, unfortunately these sometimes occur and I am sorry that this was your experience. I had a telephone call to book another appointment. I refused because it could happen again and I am not prepared to be messed about on any other appointment. Davt33.
