"The right care and support"

About: Lanarkshire Community Services / Community Nursing Service

(as a relative),

Eighteen months ago, our mum, who was in her late-eighties, was diagnosed with an inoperable cancer.  She passed away earlier this week.  Throughout that time, she was able, with the right type of care and support, to remain living at home with us.  She died peacefully in her own bed surrounded by those that she loved.

We would like to make special mention of the expert service provided to her, and to the whole family, by the NHS Lanarkshire palliative care team over these several months.  This advice was key to ensuring that she enjoyed the best possible quality of life for the longest period of time possible while she navigated the difficult course of her illness.
Our thanks for your consistently sensible guidance, and for taking the time to provide detailed information.

Thank you for taking the time to share with us your experience. I was sorry to read about the passing of your mum and please accept our condolences at this sad time. I really appreciate you sharing your experience of our services and that the input your family and your mum received played a part in enabling your her to die peacefully at home with those she cared about. I will most certainly share your feed back with the team.

Thank you for sharing.

Kind regards,

Christine
