I had to ring an ambulance for my husband as he was having a suspected stroke and he was taken to accidents and emergency at daisy hill hospital newry .
Due to Covid I was unable to travel with him or be with him in the hospital . However my fears were allayed when I spoke to Dr Bell who was looking after him In casualty. Dr Bell was very thorough and comforting in his explanation of what he believed to be happening to my husband and he kept me informed at all times .
My husband was discharged later that evening but to return to see Dr Sloan in the RAC unit the following day .
Both Dr Bell and Dr Sloan and a fantastic nurse Joanne all looked after my husband the following day with the most impeccable bedside manner.
They left no stone unturned in their investigations and thankfully my husband is on the road to recovery .
I cannot commend them enough especially Dr Bell who was completely accurate in his suspected diagnosis .
They are a very valuable asset to this hospital and I would greatly ask that our thanks is passed on to both themselves and their peers.
"Fantastic staff"
