Would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff in Monklands hospital. From the paramedics, the staff in a+e, medical receiving unit, acute medical receiving unit and finally ward 18 cardiology.
I became unwell at home and was taken to Monklands. I usually attend glasgow royal infirmary where I'm treat for my heart but on this occasion it had to be Monklands. I was treated with the utter most respect from every member of staff in every ward, nothing was a bother to them. I am quite a complex patient with a lot of heart issues but the doctors and nurses and also members of the armed forces made sure I was ok and understood everything that was going on.
They took the time to contact my consultant in Glasgow and read all my notes so they knew what treatment i was on. They also contacted my heart failure nurse who works from Monklands and made sure she was aware of me being there and she could help with treatment as well. I am now home awaiting some more test results and possibly more treatment for another illness.
Every single member of staff were amazing and I can't thank them enough for all they have done for me. They work under so much pressure but nothing is ever a bother to them. They are caring and so professional. Monklands really do have some very special staff and they all deserve recognition. Thank you all so much I will be forever grateful to you all.
"Very special staff"
