On two occasions now my specialists have written to the surgery requesting action - months later and they've done nothing with the information. It was only when my oncologist prompted that I realised no action had been taken. On the first occasion, back in September, when I got through to the reception staff they said yes we can see the letter received but unsure why we've done nothing with it. It scares me to think what the outcome could be for patients if they don't bother to follow up on important correspondence.
Once you finally get through to reception the only option offered is a phone appointment in three weeks' time. Oh and it will be within a two hour period in the middle of the working day. So am I supposed to just sit by my phone and wait for two hours? If I miss the call do I have to wait for another 3 weeks, all for what I know will be a 2 minute conversation. The process and service offered is completely unfit for purpose. Avoid.
"Avoid. Abysmal Service."
