"They have no idea how much they helped"

About: The Princess Royal Maternity Unit / Maternity care (wards 68, 72 &73)

(as a service user),

Scheduled induction of my daughters birth. Was looked after by the amazing staff on ward 72 of the Princess Royal Maternity.

Difficult induction and staff were absolutely fantastic and reassuring.

Was looked after by so many amazing people, including Kirsty and Emily (midwives), support staff, domestic staff and doctors. I was not an easy patient due to my anxiety and they have no idea how much they helped.

Although busy, they went above and beyond for me and I cannot thank them enough for the part they played in her birth.

Dear Ldj1988,

Thank you so much for taking the time to post such lovely feedback relating to the care you received from the staff in Ward 72, especially during a time that I know you must be so busy caring for your newborn daughter.

I will be delighted to share this with the staff especially Emily and Kirsty who I know will be thrilled to learn that they made such a impact on your experience. Although, as you say, they are busy and work so hard, feedback like yours and knowing that they have helped and made a difference to families really makes their day!

I hope you are enjoying this special time together with your new baby and thank-you again for your kind comments,

Kind regards,

Vicki Mazzoni

Lead Midwife
