About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske) / Chronic Fatigue/ME

(as the patient),

Improvement through therapy for long term complex ptsd (military/war) and cfs me.

At the beginning of treatment for ptsd cfs me my mental health was suffering due to agoraphobia and war related nightmare's. I also suffered from alcohol abuse which was related to my condition.

It was awkward at first in therapy talking about difficult memory's. Even though i haven't gotten 100% better  over time my mental health improved thanks to a specialist consultant.

I understand it must be hard to talk through your first sessions, but am glad to hear that you felt doing so has helped your mental health. It is good to hear that the consultant has been able to help you with this and turn the experience into a more positive one for you.
