I was admitted to Hospital, from the A&E department, in November 2007. None of my vital signs were good and I was subsequently diagnosed with a necrotic left foot, caused by very severe infection, as a result of undetected diabetes.
Part of the foot had to be amputated at that time, which resulted in it being problematic since, in terms of being susceptible to infections, wounds, etc.
This has necessitated regular treatment/examination of the feet, initially at RVH and more recently at Carlisle Centre, Antrim Road. In addition, I attend the footwear clinic in Musgrave Park Hospital for shoes which meet my requirements, usually on an annual basis.
At all times, during my various appointments, I have found all of the staff involved, to be very professional, courteous, helpful and flexible, within all the normal constraints and have maintained a high level of service since the Covid 19 Pandemic began. A first class service.
"Professional, courteous, helpful and flexible"
