I developed a very severe pain in my left shoulder in July. I contacted out of hours the next day and was told to take painkillers and contact my doctor. They prescribed stronger tablets, which were of little use. I went to L.V.H Lisburn the next day, where I had x rays and a blood test. 2 days later, they sent me back to A&E as a blood test was abnormal. L.V.H. sent me to Ulster Hospital Dundonald where I was admitted. I had XRAYS, ultra scan, and blood tests. I was then sent to R.V.H. Belfast at the end of the month, where I had MRI scan, CT Scan and heart scan. I spent 2 weeks in a ward on a drip 4 times a day. I also had a PICC line fitted. I was discharged in August with a bottle which delivered antibiotics over 24 hours.
I attended the P.T.U. Clinic at R.V.H each morning to have the bottle replaced, blood sample taken and PICC line dressed. PICC line was removed later that month, and I am now taking 8 tablets a day for 4 weeks.
During my time in Hospital and attending the P.T.U Clinic, I have had the most exceptional treatment from all Doctors, Nurses, and all staff. I would like to thank them all for their care and dedication.
"Exceptional treatment, care and dedication"
