"A&E heartlands and Ward 28"

About: Heartlands Hospital

I watched a stretched a&e team work tirelessly all through the night saving lives helping people...... the team are so stretched but they remained friendly even if interaction was brief.

Timings were crazy 4hrs wait for ambulance, then 3hrs wait in the ambulance in the car park then 12hours to go to ward and be diagnosed, if this doesn’t tell you that the team are under resources then I don’t not what will...... through it all the 111 operator the ambulance guys the a&e and ward 28 staff have been professional, kept me informed and smiled.... I know I couldn’t do their job and worry for them as we move into winter months and increased in Covid

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your patient experience whilst in A&E and ward 28 at Heartlands Hospital. I totally agree with you, although I appreciate the NHS is currently under pressure, it does offer a fabulous service.
