"Excellent care"

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / Blossom Ward (Paediatrics)

(as a parent/guardian),

Our two young daughters, a 2 year old and a 6 week old baby, were recently admitted to blossom ward to be treated for bronchiolitis.

This was a very stressful time for us as a family but the care and compassion from the doctors and nursing staff was amazing.

From the cups of tea during those sleepless nights and a shoulder to cry on when times were tough, we honestly can’t thank you enough.

A special shout out to Dr Funston and Dr Shah.

Nurses Finbar and Meghan who cared for our 2 year old,

And Nurses Nichola, Kelli, Grace, Gemma and Kerri who cared for our 6 week old baby.

Thanks

Thank you mmcg1990 for taking the time to provide this lovely feedback about your experience of Blossom Ward when your daughters were admitted. I know that it can be very stressful when you have sick children and the past few weeks have been extremely challenging for our doctors and nurses because of the very high numbers of young, sick children admitted to the children's ward. It is however gratifying to hear that they were able to show the care and compassion to you and your two daughters that you have described in your feedback.

I will ensure that the doctors and nurses you named are made aware of your kind words and gratitude.

All the best, David

Dear mmcq1990 thank you so much for sharing your experience and highlighting the great care you received. It is very stressful and anxious having one child unwell but to have two unwell and in the hospital at the same time must have been very challenging. It is lovely to hear of the nurses and doctors who made a difference to you and your children and this will be shared with them.

Thank you for taking time to get in touch and I wish you and your children well.

Regards

Bernie.
