"Not knowing where to begin"

About: East Surrey Hospital

(as the patient),

Medication 

Continually exposed to significant risk of harm (for years), for example repeated errors with antibiotics & strong pain killers such as Oramorph.

Nursing Care

Very noticeable decline in the standard of care received throughout the Hospital. Patient loss of dignity regarding toileting needs, attitude (eg being made to feel guilty when asking for help).

Notes/Records

Continual inaccurate information on Discharge Summaries, Dosing of medications to take home. Nursing Notes consistent recurring errors being written.

Increasing Lack of Trust

Not knowing who or what to believe, staff refusal to answer questions about my care, threats & insults made by staff, not believed when reporting concerns, fear of future admissions.

Infection Risk

Obs, IVs, Cleanliness, Wound Care,

Mental Health

Advised to speak to Mental Health Team by Dr but on asking to see them was told by Nurse “don’t play that game”.
