If you can have an ‘amazing experience’ undergoing vascular surgery then this was it! From the explanations about my anaesthetic through the preparations to the surgery itself and recovery I was never in doubt about the fantastic team that carried out my 2 hour plus procedure to repair my 7.2 cm aortic aneurysms. I can say I wasn’t scared but received care and understanding but the whole surgical team inspired confidence and trust. I don’t really know how difficult my EVAR procedure was but I cannot fault any aspect of my experience.
The surgical team I had were quite simply brilliant and those assigned to my pre and post operative care could not be faulted. It was an amazing experience
