I fell whilst at home alone. I had to wait until my husband came home before coming to A&E. By which time I was in a lot of pain.
I attended A&E and following an xray, it was confirmed that I had fractured my wrist.
I would like to thank everyone involved in my care from xray to porters to A &E staff. Norma and Lesley need a special mention as they were excellent. Very professional whilst providing the banter and reassurance that made my experience less traumatic than I anticipated.
A & E has been in the local news a lot over the last 18 months, but my experience is one that I will share to all just how wonderful our local A&E department is and how they were still all smiling and were professional despite having had and continue to deal with extraordinary pressures, stress and adversity.
Thank you BGH.
"Amazing care in A &E."
