"Poor service"

About: Ipswich Hospital

I was taken to A&E after by blood pressure plummeted and I fell backwards, down the stairs and split my head open. Had no memory of whatsoever and in a lot of pain. After being checked over by First Responder and ambulance crew they were adamant I needed to attend A&E, as risk of stroke too. I didn't want to go, as previous experiences didn't boad well, but did as told. 2+ hours in and not even triaged. Felt violently sick and like I going to pass out again. Drunk people arrived, who made me feel very unsafe, so my son picked me up and I left. Awful night, in agony. My daughter took me to Felixstowe Hospital first thing the next morning, in out and dealt with within an hour, without the stress and anxiety that I at risk.

I am sorry that your experience at A&E was not as expected and for any extra stress and inconvenience that this has caused. I will make sure your comments are sent to the A&E Matron for her attention. I am pleased that Felixstowe Hospital treated you quickly. Many thanks
