"Access to a doctor"

About: Staveleigh Medical Centre

(as the patient),

I spent 45 minutes on the telephone waiting to get through to the receptionist - no appointments were available. I had seen a pharmacist she said that I needed a steroid cream to treat my painful infection and only a dr could prescribe this. The receptionist passed on this information to the dr, the reply was that I would be contacted by a dr. I heard nothing till 7 pm when a pharmacist said that the dr had asked them to call me, again they agreed with the first pharmacist that I needed to see the dr. I am in my early 70's and have not seen a dr in 3 years despite multiple health problems. I am very disappointed with lack of treatment that I did not receive and felt disrespected and thus enduring a lot of pain which could have been avoided.
