About: St Mary's NHS Treatment Centre (Portsmouth)

I was given the chance to be treated at the Portsmouth surgical centre, in order to have surgery for an inguinale hernia. Waiting time was minimal, and my operation was carried out within a month of my initial examination. My surgeon identified a second, minor, hernia, and dealt with this at the same time. The day surgery was very slick and professional - and I was allowed home the same morning. Outstanding service, and virtually pain free! If only the NHS were as well organized ! Very highly recommended.
