"HRT clinic are making a very big difference to women's lives"

About: Gynaecology / HRT Clinic

(as a service user),

I unfortunately found myself in a position where I was perimenopausal immediately after the birth of my last child, at only 36 years old. I was so very lucky to have been referred to the HRT clinic in the Mater hospital in Belfast. I can not express how grateful I am for both Sister Philomena and Dr Kirks help, guidance and ongoing support with regards to my situation. In this day and age, given how underfunded the NHS is, the service they offer is 5 star!

Anyone going through this will know how difficult it can be. Anytime I have a query about my medication or if my symptoms have changed the team are there at the end of the phone to offer invaluable advice. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without them. I only hope this service continues because they are making a very big difference to women's lives. I hope they get to hear this, I’ve told them all how grateful I am but they deserve recognition for their work.
