"Refusal to speak to patients"

About: Whitley House Surgery

Diarrhoea for 4 days now. Doctor link survey sent instead of appointment as fully booked. I understand this is a valid option but only if the survey link actually works. Doctor link just takes you round and round in circles until you are blue in the face. I called back to explain I wasn’t getting anywhere with doctor link and to please speak to a doctor and I was told a doctor could not speak to me until Monday.

This is misguided and inappropriate. Surely this can’t be working for other patients?

This is the second time the doctor link survey has taken me on a Merry go round, last time it told me I had sepsis when all I had was a nasty infection and needed antibiotics.

Your approach to getting patients heard/spoken to is just not good enough.

Not sure at what point I have to go to A&E? Seems mad to go to A&E with diarrhoea, possibly infecting others, to ask them for help as my GP won’t even speak to me until Monday? Having to take my 14 month daughter with me? Please respond as I cannot understand how this is a justifiable approach to patient care
