"My eyelid surgery in Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery

(as a service user),

My vision had gradually deteriorated - not because of my eyes, but because loose skin above them was obscuring my upper vision. Everything I looked at had a dark shadow above it.  I could not see the upper flashes in a peripheral eye test.

On Monday I had an operation to remove the excess skin. Dr Saxby was so kind and reassuring, as were all the nurses and other carers. I felt I was in very good hands. The scars should be invisible, as they are in the crease of the eyelid.
