"Telephone Consultant Appointment"

About: General Surgery / Ward 2 North General Surgery and Upper Gastroenterology

(as the patient),

After waiting several weeks fir an urgent consultant my appointment was cancelled at the last minute then arranged fir 3 weeks later. I was given a telephone appointment  for 10.50am, but to allow one hour either side, come 4.00pm in the afternoon  still no call so I phoned BCH BOOKING OFFICE and was given the consultants  secretaries telephone number. 4.10pm I rang the number the answering machine said they were not at their desk and to leave a message which I did giving my hospital number, name and mobile number stating I did not receive my prebooked telephone appointment

Firstly, I'd like to say how sorry I am that you didn't receive your urgent telephone consultation, and that you were left without information when it didn't happen. I can imagine that is very stressful and to not be able to speak to anyone likely didn't help.
