"Reassuring and attentive staff"

About: Daisy Hill Hospital / Elective Overnight Stay Centre/Gynaecology Ward

(as a service user),

I came to A&E with stomach pains. I found it very bust, but the staff were all first class - very reassuring and incredibly attentive.

Up on the Female Surgical Ward it has been equally as good. All the staff are good but I would like to especially mention Teresa who was incredibly experienced and excellent.

The only thing I could think of which could be improved would be if there was access to ice or ice-water. Other than this my time has been excellent - this is my first hospital experience and so I am very impressed.

Dear cricketkz53

Thank you for taking the time to post your feedback on care opinion. I will make sure that the nursing team of Female Surgical are made aware of your lovely comments. Feedback like this is greatly valued as staff can read how patient centred care contributed to your experience.
Unfortunately following risk assessments ice machines are considered a potential source of microbial contamination and we are unable to use them. However we can replenish water jugs more frequently and this is something we can highlight with staff.

Wishing you continued good health.

Josie Matthews

Lead Nurse
