Our mother was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer in April 2020 and passed away peacefully (thanks to the help of Orla - District Nurse) at home in September 2021. Obviously it was a very hard and sad time in our life losing our mother but thanks to Orla she kept assisting and advising us at each stage so it wasn't not expected.
Mum was a very private person who didn't socialise well but with Orlas warmth / loving care and exceptional nursing approach, mum accepted Orla into her life and we the family all shared some wonderful precious time together. Orla introduced each stage of mums end of life care with dignity and respect not only for mum but us the family also. On the day of mum's funeral Orla even took time out of her on personal life to attend and had very kind and supportive words to offer us for the days and weeks ahead. Orla will always have a place in our heart.
