2 years ago (Sept 2019 I was admitted to LCH for emergency PCI following a heart attack. During my stay at CCU (Johnson Ward) I received the finest care one could have wished for, and always felt I was in the best of hands. Fast forward to Oct 2021 (last week) I was re-admitted following an increase in angina pain - this was mainly for checks and for a decision to be made regarding bypass surgery. Once again, the Cardio Team's quiet & calm professionalism, kindness and level of care (and sense of humour it has to be said!) was out of the very top drawer. A superb team who are proud of their work, and rightly so. Whilst no stay in hospital is particularly enjoyable, the week I spent in the care of the Cardiac Short Stay Unit was comfortable, and yet again left me in awe of the dedication its staff show on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone.
