"Cardio Short Stay"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

2 years ago (Sept 2019 I was admitted to LCH for emergency PCI following a heart attack. During my stay at CCU (Johnson Ward) I received the finest care one could have wished for, and always felt I was in the best of hands. Fast forward to Oct 2021 (last week) I was re-admitted following an increase in angina pain - this was mainly for checks and for a decision to be made regarding bypass surgery. Once again, the Cardio Team's quiet & calm professionalism, kindness and level of care (and sense of humour it has to be said!) was out of the very top drawer. A superb team who are proud of their work, and rightly so. Whilst no stay in hospital is particularly enjoyable, the week I spent in the care of the Cardiac Short Stay Unit was comfortable, and yet again left me in awe of the dedication its staff show on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone.

Thank you so much for your heart felt response. Sorry you have to visit us again (in the nicest way). We value your comments and kind words, we are extremely proud of our fabulous cardiology team from the medical, nursing and ancillary staff. As ward lead I am especially proud that they can share their wicked sense of humour, and the top drawer remains ever open.

Many thanks

Julie Rodgers – Ward Sister
