My appointment letter says 1.50pm for the Diagnostic Imaging Ultrasound Department at Peterborough City Hospital.

I checked in and was told to sit and wait at roughly 1.15pm. I waited until 2.10pm before going to ask how much longer it would be to be told my appointment was 12.30pm. My letter says 1.50pm and I checked in at 1.15pm. Why was this not noticed at check in? I waited almost an hour.

They asked someone if I could be fit in today and were told no, despite my letter saying 1.50pm and being early for that appointment. I travelled and paid for a train and taxis as I am not local. I also had to use my holiday days to book this day off at work. I was waiting for this appointment for months. I have a lot of pain that continually gets worse but now I have to wait for a new appointment and pay out again to come back. I’m going to be sending a formal complaint with the copy of my letter stating 1.50pm as the time of my appointment.
