"Lack of toilet Provision"

(as a service user),

I was attending the Aberdeen Covid Vaccination Centre for my Covid booster and flu jag. The place, in the former John Lewis store was busy but well organised and praise must go to all the staff.

However, when I asked if there were available toilets, I was told that there were none and one would have to go to the nearest public toilets. For me this was a 6/7 minute walk but for elderly or people with mobility issues, the walk would be considerably longer.

I do consider that it is remiss of Grampian Health Board in not providing toilets - surely this is a health and safety issue.

Hi Sabce43

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that there was a lack of toilet facilities when the centre initially opened. We now have access to the toilet on the 3rd floor of the building. We must accompany anyone who wishes to use the facilities, so if people are able, we will encourage them to use the toilets in the Bon Accord Centre. I appreciate this may not be ideal, but we do have facilities available now.

We will pass on the praise to the team who are currently delivering the vaccine programme.

Thank you again for taking the time to raise your concerns.

Regards Fiona
