My granny was admitted to RVH ward 6F following a stroke and unfortunately passed away over a week later. The care she received from the all the staff was exceptional. They ensured she felt safe, pain free and comfortable. In addition to this they provided so much care and support to our family during a very difficult time. Covid restrictions were in place which limited visiting, however every staff member approached us with kindness and empathy to explain this and provided support. Dr Gordon and her team of doctors were very supportive and explained everything well and at every opportunity checked in with the family. Every single nurse wether it was night shift or day shift were fantastic and so caring. I would also like to say thank you to Mary who cleaned my granny’s room daily and provided support to myself and my family by being so kind. I am so grateful my granny was cared for at 6F in her final days
