"Very poor service"

About: The Yorkshire Clinic

Was prepared to have an operation tomorrow. Didn’t get any details in the letter regarding what the operation was called and how long the recovery would be. Called and spoke to reception and they explained it the lady was very helpful and nice. However an hour later gets a call to confirm my operation had been cancelled due to low staffing levels. Very poor service as I could have been told this when I called and spoke to reception an hour before. Also I have a son that I need to drive to school everyday, due to recovery of the operation I had to sort out childcare and pay for childcare and also my work commitments has taken a month to hand over my work etc. This is not on and when you have waited 2 years for the procedure what a poor health service we have. Now I will be given a new date and will need to do another 3 days in isolation, take more time off work to go have a covid test and then pay again for my child to go into child care whilst I’m in recovery. I thought when I was offered the Yorkshire clinic it would be smoothly operated given it’s private health care. I hope when she calls tomorrow I have the option to go back to Airedale because this is the worst service I have ever received before having an operation, completely lost all faith and would never want to have an operation here!
