"Great care but too cold on the ward"

About: Lurgan Hospital / Ward 3

(as the patient),

I am an inpatient in Lurgan Hospital Ward 3.   The care provided has been more than satisfactory and the cleanliness of the ward is kept to a high standard.   My bed is in front of the window and due to COVID-19 the windows are opened several daily, which leaves me feeling very cold now the weather has changed.   Today, I returned from an MRI scan to find my bed very cold, to the point that my nose was running.   I know this may seem trivial, however, as this is the only area I live in, I feel being comfortable is necessary.   I am 84 years old and as you get older, you feel the cold more, and when I am cold I have an overall feeling of being uncomfortable.

Hello Gretta

Thank you for posting about your hospital experience. I will pass your positive feedback to the Domestic Services team, I know they will appreciate your kind comments.

I am really sorry to hear that you are cold, I have rang the Ward Sister and she will address this immediately.

Wishing you well.

Many thanks

Andrew
