"The safe arrival of our twin girls"

About: Borders General Hospital / Maternity care

(as a parent/guardian),

We were transferred down to BGH in early September to have our girls delivered by emergency c-section after there were no neonatal spaces for us at our local maternity hospital.

We were so well looked after by every member of staff we met at BGH and our girls received the best care. We were there for a week in total and couldn’t fault a single aspect of our stay. The staff were so kind, caring, supportive and knowledgeable.

We went home after 7 days of care in SCBU for our youngest and are so happy to be home settling into family life.

Thank you very much to wards 15 and 16 at BGH.

Thank you so much aberdeensmithtwins for taking the time to give such lovely feedback.

This was obviously a very stressful time for you both and being so far away from home will have added to your anxieties I'm sure.

I am so glad you felt so well looked after by all of the staff involved, this is really important to us and I will be sure to share your kind words with all of the team.

Thank you so much again for taking the time to share your story with us - we have since received your lovely card and the twins look like they are thriving! So glad to hear you are now home together again as a family.

Kind Regards

Claire
